Playing in my journal

Took all my paints out last night and played around.
These are mainly backgrounds, using some new tools and materials I've been wanting to try.
Enjoyed every minute!
The hardest part is to decide if and how to continue each page. 
Do you also fall in love with your backgrounds? I get stuck every single time, fearing I'll "ruin" them! :-)

So glad to hear I am not alone! I often love my backgrounds and fear of ruining them. Sometimes I do just stop and it's okay...if I do ruin a background I believe forward motion will bring me back to something I love or am at least happy with. If I still regret "losing" that background I can always try to recreate it. Enjoy the process! Love the flowers on the first page and the multi colored chevron!

These are wonderful pages! I love the black gesso in the backgrounds! Isn't it just the blackest black there is???
